A Message from Our Immediate Past President

Greetings from the Queen City!

We welcome you to one of the assiduous chapters in the Southeast. Composed of lawyers, doctors, executives, nurses, accountants, engineers, brand strategists, and entrepreneurs (to name a few), we thank you for your commitment and enthusiasm to serve our beloved Clark Atlanta University.  To those of you who are not affiliated with the Charlotte Chapter, we exhort you to join us in Culture for Service as we continue our efforts to serve Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Our goals are to increase our memberships in the local chapter and National Alumni Association, to host our annual Scholarship Brunch, which provides scholarships to students attending CAU from the Carolinas, and contribute to CAU’s National Fundraising Campaign. Your donations, time, and support are essential in furthering students’ success. The dedication to our motto: culture for service, is embodied each time you assist and mentor a future alum!

Kings and Queens, we welcome you to the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Clark Atlanta University!

The Alumni Oath

As an alumnus/a of Clark Atlanta University, I do solemnly swear to uphold the honorable traditions of the University and its two illustrious ancestors, Atlanta University and Clark College. Imbued by the spirit of their historic mission to serve the needs of students of diverse backgrounds, I will endeavor to earn my own place among alumni who, by their devotion to this ideal, have brought recognition and honor to their alma maters.

I do solemnly swear to commit myself to the highest standards of service to humanity wherever my life touches that of others. As a socially responsible citizen, I commit myself to the search for solutions to all forms of oppression.

I do solemnly swear to provide moral, intellectual, and generous financial support, and I will encourage others to attend my alma mater and thus to contribute to the perpetuation of the noble work of Clark Atlanta University – One Exceptional University.
